Sydney Team News: Defensive injuries

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Sydney to deal with this weekend with just a couple of defenders, both Aaron Gurd and Kyle Shaw, remaining their only absentees for this one.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Devenish-Meares; King, R. Grant, A. Grant, Courtney-Perkins; Kamijo, Sena; Lolley, Caceres, Douglas Costa; Klimala

Auckland Team News: No Moreno

Ahead of the trip to New South Wales this weekend, Auckland will be without winger Neyder Moreno due to a hamstring injury. That means the Aucklanders will have to make one rare change at least for this weekend.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Paulsen; Sakai, Hall, Pijnaker, De Vries; Rogerson, Verstraete, Gallegos, Francois; May, Mata

Unavailable: Moreno (Injured)

Sydney vs Auckland Prediction

Sydney come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to the Lion City Sailors in their most recent outing in the first-leg of their AFC Cup semi-final. Their domestic form has been frustrating and inconsistent throughout the campaign due to their push deep into continental competition. They now face an Auckland side that are edging their way to the regular season title in the A League with quite a few draws, most recently sharing a 1-1 draw with the Western Sydney Wanderers away from home last weekend. Auckland have suffered just two defeats in 22 matches so far this season, whilst Sydney continue to be inconsistent.

Sydney vs Auckland Tip: Double chance – Auckland to win or draw
