Sydney Roosters vs Dolphins prediction

The Sydney Roosters season has been a rollercoaster to say the least. Through the first eight rounds they have suffered heavy defeats to the Titans, Broncos and Panthers and also recorded strong victories over the Broncos, Panthers and most recently, the Dragons. The anomaly of the NRL draw has not made it easy for the Roosters and their long injury lists haven’t helped either. The performance on ANZAC day against the Dragons gives reason for hope; Sandon Smith and company tore apart the defence in the second half to record a 46-18 victory.

The Dolphins had been enjoying a purple patch of form. They had beaten last year’s grand finalists the Storm and Panthers in successive weeks and took a remarkable 28-10 lead to half time against the Raiders. And the wheels abruptly came off. A 30-0 scoreline against them in the second half sent them from the national capital with their tail between their legs and a 40-28 defeat heading into Magic round.

The brief history of the Roosters and Dolphins does not paint an obvious picture. The Dolphins defeated the Roosters in their first ever NRL match, and the Roosters have jagged two wins since then. This is the first of two matchups this season and we think the Dolphins can put their second half in Canberra behind them and bounce back against the Roosters.
