Sydney FC may have racked up seven points more than their opponents over the course of this season so far, don’t expect Wellington Phoenix to be pushovers here. The visitors have played much better football recently after a terrible start to the campaign, picking up a solid seven points from the last 12 available to them, including victories over the likes of Central Coast Mariners and Brisbane Roar.
However, Sydney FC are up there for a reason and seven wins from 11 league games with by far the least number of goals conceded is testament to their class and steel at the back. They’ve shipped just seven goals, the only team in the league still with a single-figure tally in the goals conceded column. Backing them to win at home and keep a clean sheet over Wellington is a move worth making.
