Despite their bad recent form which has seen them lose four of their last five games in the league, Sydney FC remain inside the top four and can move up into second-place with three points here at home to Auckland FC, who are aiming to close the gap on a red-hot Newcastle Jets at the top of the table. These two clubs last collided just ten days ago, with Auckland coming out on top in a narrow 1-0 victory.
Sydney FC boast home advantage on this occasion but their poor recent form cannot be ignored, having lost to Adelaide United since that Auckland defeat. Scoring goals has been a problem for them and they really need to try and take the game to the visitors from an attacking perspective. Both teams should be desperate for three points here and with that in mind, consider backing each of them to find the net at least once.
