Switzerland vs Norway prediction
Although they did take part in qualifying, Switzerland are automatically included in the 16-team tournament as hosts, albeit they have qualified for each of the last two UEFA Women’s European Championships. The Swiss have some notable, recognisable names within their squad, like Noelle Maritz, captain Lia Walti and attackers Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic and Ramona Bachmann.
The Norwegians have been on a decline since a dispute between the players and the federation erupted a few years ago now. The one-time world number two team are now at their lowest ever ranking of 16th. They qualified for the tournament via the playoffs thanks to a 14-0 aggregate victory over Albania.
Switzerland will fancy their chances of going well in what is a relatively weak group, but Norway should still come out on top in a game that could end up being quite even.
