Sunderland sit firmly in the top six and the playoff places with no real chance of finishing below fourth and a very limited chance of finishing in the top two as they now take on Swansea City.

Sunderland vs Swansea prediction

Former Lorient boss Regis Le Bris is in charge of an exciting and young, impressive Sunderland squad that begin the 42nd match day of the 2024/25 campaign sitting nine points adrift of the top two and the automatic promotion spots in the Championship after a frustrating goalless draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road in midweek.

They now face a Swansea City side that, with former defender Alan Tate in interim charge until the end of the season, have pushed themselves into the middle-of-the-table with seven points collected from three matches since the March international break. They hammered bottom-of-the-table Plymouth Argyle by three goals to nil at the Liberty Stadium the other day.

Sunderland are coasting now towards the end of the season with fourth place more or less guaranteed either way and siding with a surprise Swansea win at the Stadium of Light could be good value.

Sunderland vs Swansea tip: Double chance – Swansea to win or draw
