Sudan were denied late on by Congo and have a big opportunity here against Nigeria with Congo facing defending champions Senegal on the same day.

Sudan vs Nigeria prediction

Sudan played well against Congo in their first match of the tournament and can count themselves unlucky not to come away with three points. Ultimately, they failed to seal the deal when ahead in the game and on top, which ultimately came back to haunt them down the stretch as they conceded an equaliser in the 86th minute.

Nigeria were beaten by a single goal at the hands of Senegal and whilst the onus is on them to improve offensively, another defeat here would knock them out of the tournament, so they must also try and replicated the defensive solidarity shown vs Senegal. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we saw another low-scoring Group D encounter that makes under 2.5 goals well worth backing.

Sudan vs Nigeria tip: Under 2.5 goals
