Stuttgart preview: Impressive Stuttgart

Stuttgart come into this one on the back of an impressive 4-0 hammering of ten-man Werder Bremen away from home last weekend, courtesy of goals from Bilal El Khannouss, Jamie Leweling, Deniz Undav and Chris Fuhrich.

The hosts, under the management of Sebastian Hoeness, have now suffered just two defeats in their last nine matches across all competitions as they push for a top four finish and UEFA Champions League qualification in the Bundesliga once again.

Hoffenheim preview: High-flying Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim, coached by former Sturm Graz side Christian Ilzer, begin the 15th match day of the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign sitting a point and a place ahead of Stuttgart, as they also compete for a top four spot in Germany’s top-flight.

They recovered from a 2-0 loss against Borussia Dortmund a fortnight ago by hammering an in-form Hamburg side by four goals to one, courtesy of goals from Grischa Promel, Ozan Kabak, Tim Lemperle and Fisnik Asllani.

Stuttgart team news: El Khannouss out

Morocco international attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss is now unavailable for Stuttgart as he is away with the Atlas Lions at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Neubel; Jeltsch, Chabot, Hendriks; Vagnoman, Karazor, Stiller, Leweling; Fuhrich, Nartey; Undav

Hoffenheim team news: Machida out

Hoffenheim have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues to deal with as they head to Stuttgart this weekend with only defender Koki Machida sidelined for the visitors.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Baumann; Coufal, Hranac, Kabak, Hajdari; Promel, Burger, Avdullahu, Kramaric; Lemperle, Toure

Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim prediction

Stuttgart have one of the better and more intense, attacking styles. Sebastian Hoeness has become one of the most highly-rated coaches, albeit they can often be quite inconsistent. They now face a Hoffenheim side that have performed beyond expectations this season as Ilzer get to grips with things and so both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.

Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim tip: Both teams to score
