Last season, Stuttgart won the DFB-Pokal and they have an excellent opportunity to reach another final. They are, once again, under the management of Sebastian Hoeness, challenging for a top four finish and potential UEFA Champions League qualification with an entertaining and fun style of football.

They now face Freiburg side that reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League by completing an impressive 6-1 aggregate victory over Celta Vigo at Balaidos last week. Julian Schuster’s visitors will remain focused on the cup, albeit appear to have taken their eye off the ball in the Bundesliga. They did, though, edge past rock-bottom Heidenheim at the weekend.

Freiburg have found some form in the spring and this should be quite a good watch for the neutral, albeit Stuttgart have to be viewed as slight favourites to head through.
