Bayern Munich preview: Need to become dominant
Bayern Munich endured a laboured summer as they reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup before exiting to Paris Saint-Germain. Vincent Kompany re-established the Bavarians back at the top of the Bundesliga last season.
They have had a quieter summer than was perhaps expected with a deal for Woltemade yet to come to fruition. Kompany has, though, been able to bring in centre-back Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen and winger Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

It can often lead to chaotic matches, but tends to make them entertaining. Bayern do appear quite short in the final third of the pitch with Mathys Tel having departed permanently alongside Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman. Despite that, they have to remain favourites for a potentially topsy turvy affair at the MHPArena in Stuttgart.
