Stoke City vs Oxford United prediction

Oxford United are still fighting to stay in the Championship, although the task remains a difficult one with them still firmly marooned inside the bottom three. They desperately need to start picking up wins but the opposition doesn’t get any easier. Stoke City are stuck and midtable and suffering through an extended winless run, so they’ll be motivated to get three points.

This is a fixture where a draw really doesn’t suit either side but that should lead to a more open, attacking affair rather than a cagey battle as the two sides perhaps throw caution to the wind and really go for it. That should lead to goals and it’s worth backing over 2.5 of them to be scored, regardless of the final outcome.

Stoke City vs Oxford United tip: Over 2.5 goals
