Under the management of Alex Revell, Stevenage began the season with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Blackpool, in which Northern Ireland international striker Jamie Reid notched a brace in that game. ‘Boro have been very impressive in recent years and they look again to be a difficult team to beat.
They now face a Rotherham United side that began their campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 defeat of newly-promoted Port Vale at the New York Stadium in Yorkshire last weekend. The Millers are now coached by Matt Hamshaw, after the departure of the controversial Steve Evans in the second-half of last season.
Rotherham will be able to compete in pretty much every game this season, but with home advantage, Stevenage have shown enough already to suggest they can get themselves off to a fast start.
