Stevenage vs Northampton prediction

Stevenage come into this one on the back of beginning their season with an entertaining 3-2 defeat of Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on the opening day. Alex Revell’s side then backed that up by edging past Rotherham United last weekend. In midweek, they did suffer a 3-1 loss to Charlton Athletic at The Valley in the first round of the EFL Cup.

They now face a Northampton Town side that improved under Kevin Nolan last season but, despite a very busy summer, the Cobblers’ squad isn’t in great shape for now. They began with a 3-1 loss to Wigan Athletic on the opening day of the campaign before then being held to a goalless draw by newly-promoted Bradford City at Sixfields.

Northampton appear to lack much by way of quality in attack, and Stevenage will be confident of controlling them, and with Jamie Reid up-front, they can always score.

Stevenage vs Northampton tip: Stevenage to win & under 3.5 goals
