St. Helens vs Wigan Warriors prediction

We have a fascinating clash between two arch rivals on Good Friday as St Helens take on Wigan Warriors with both having suffered damaging defeats most recently.

Wigan are coming off their first loss of the season in the Super League which was one of the shocks of the campaign so far as Huddersfield stunned them to claim their first win of the season.

That loss may well be bad news for their opponents St Helens. They are always fired up for Good Friday and that defeat will remove any signs of complacency coming into this rivalry game

The Saints have home advantage on their side here but coach Paul Rowley has plenty of issues to contend with as they face their arch rivals.

They were hammered 52-10 by Hull KR last time out and have a raft of injuries to handle. The likes of Jack Welsby, Matty Lees, Curtis Sironen, Nene McDonald, Alex Walmsley and Jonny Lomax are all out and now joined on the sidelines by Delaney and Percival, which really does leave them significantly under strength.

Whilst home advantage shouldn't be underestimated, Saints are in trouble here and we fully expect Wigan to bounce back and really put them to the sword. Expect a comprehensive win for the visitors.
