Sporting CP preview: Pushing for more
In the last 12 months, a lot of things have changed for Sporting CP but they still clinched the Portuguese Primeira Liga title in May but they have started this season slowly domestically, albeit they managed to start this league phase with a victory.
That UEFA Champions League league phase win came against rookies Kairat Almaty by four goals to one in the Portuguese capital city. That has since been followed by a 2-1 loss to Italian champions Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Marseille preview: Entertaining l’OM
Under the management of former Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi, Olympique de Marseille have been thrilling to watch in the last season and a bit as they seek to fight on multiple fronts after a strong start to the campaign.
In the UEFA Champions League, the French giants began with a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu before they then managed to hammer Ajax by four goals to nil at Stade Velodrome a few weeks ago.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Rulli; Pavard, Aguerd, Balerdi, Emerson; Hojbjerg, Gomes; Greenwood, O’Riley, Paixao; Aubameyang

Sporting CP vs Marseille prediction
Sporting CP most recently managed to edge past Pacos de Ferreira by three goals to nil in the third round of the Taca de Portugal at the weekend. Sporting have been inconsistent this season and their performances have been underwhelming. They face a Marseille side that will head to Lisbon as the favourites to continue their excellent form after a 6-2 demolition of Le Havre at the weekend in Ligue 1. This should be a fun watch for the neutral but Marseille have to be viewed as favourites.
Sporting CP vs Marseille Tip: Marseille to win & both teams to score
