After finishing third in the Czech First League last season, Sparta Prague have started their European campaign in unconvincing fashion. They suffered a 2-1 defeat to Aktobe in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie, before winning the second-leg by four goals to nil.
They now face an Ararat-Armenia side that come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Van in their most recent outing in the Armenian Premier League at the weekend, where they sit in the middle-of-the-table. They managed to see off Universitatea Cluj in a surprise victory in this competition last week.
Sparta Prague have shown they require their home advantage to put teams to bed in this competition, and so they should be at full throttle in the Czech capital this week.
