Both these two teams deserve significant credit for victories on the road this past weekend. Whilst Croatia secured a hard-fought 1-2 win over Czechia with the timeless Luka Modric getting on the scoresheet, Spain overcame England in a 2-3 thriller at Wembley, the ruthless world champions taking full advantage of some terrible English defending.
Back at home for the first time since winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, expect a raucous reception for Luis de la Fuente’s men and whilst Croatia should be stronger defensively than England, they surely won’t be able to keep this Spanish juggernaut at bay for long. Expect a home victory and by at least two clear goals.
