Southampton vs Coventry prediction

Following the appointment of Tonda Eckert, who replaced Will Still a couple of months ago, Southampton have again emerged as top six contenders. The Saints did, though, suffer a surprise defeat to Norwich City last weekend, making it six victories and two defeats under Eckert.

Coventry City begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting five points clear at the top-of-the-table with a rare two-game winless blip being followed by the Sky Blues grinding out a 1-0 win against Bristol City at the Coventry Building Society Arena last week, courtesy of a 64th minute Ephron Mason-Clark winner.

Coventry head down to the south coast as the best attacking team in the division but the hosts themselves have sprung into life and so both teams scoring seems a good bet.
