Key Stats

  • South Sudan are aiming to win a World Cup qualifying match for the first time (D6 L7).
  • Togo have won only one of their previous nine matches in the current World Cup qualifying campaign (D4 L4).

South Sudan vs Togo Prediction

In their nine CAF qualifying matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, South Sudan have picked up four points with four draws and five defeats. In those games, they have managed to score just three times, whilst conceding 19. Their most recent outing saw them beaten 5-0 by a strong Senegal side the other day.

Togo, on the other hand, earned their first win of qualification in the September international break with a slender victory over a competitive Sudan side. However, they were beaten 1-0 by the Democratic Republic of Congo in this break due to a seventh minute strike scored by Cedric Bakambu.

Togo are a better side than South Sudan but not by much and both sides lack overall quality, especially in the final third, and so a low-scoring encounter seems inevitable.

South Sudan vs Togo Tip: Under 2.5 goals
