South Africa vs Uganda prediction

It would be no surprise if both benches had one eye on the score between Algeria and Niger whilst this contest is taking place. But the onus is ultimately on South Africa, who currently sit third-place in Group C and need to win the game as it stands. They can’t afford to rest on their laurels and after being shut out by Niger, will be expected to deploy an ultra-offensive style of play to try and improve their cutting edge in front of goal.

Uganda first and foremost knows that avoiding defeat here ensures that whatever happens, they will advance. But with South Africa likely to push bodies forward from an attacking perspective, gaps may well emerge that the current Group C leaders can take advantage of. They’ve racked up five goals across their last two group games and with that in mind, it’s well worth backing both teams to score between these two nations.

South Africa vs Uganda tip: Both teams to score
