South Africa vs Argentina prediction

South Africa produced a mesmerising second-half performance to inflict New Zealand's biggest ever defeat in Wellington two weeks ago.

The reigning world champions and Rugby Championship holders were 43-10 victors against their great rivals, and they are just a point behind leaders Australia heading into the penultimate round of fixtures.

Argentina kept their own Rugby Championship hopes alive by holding off the Wallabies' stirring comeback to take a 28-26 victory in Sydney.

Like their three competitors, the Pumas have won two and lost two of their four matches to date, but they know they will be up against it here against a team whose top level is simply above the rest.

With this match staged in Durban, South Africa have home advantage and they are likely to make that count. Take the Springboks to cover a -16.5 handicap.
