Somalia are one of the weakest sides on the African continent as they finish their qualifying campaign off with a clash against Mozambique this midweek.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – FIFA+ / US – FIFA+

Key Stats

  • Somalia have won only one of their previous 22 World Cup qualifying matches (D4 L17). Their only victory was a 1-0 win against Zimbabwe in September 2019.
  • Somalia have never scored more than one goal in a World Cup qualifying match.
  • Mozambique have lost three of their last four World Cup qualifying matches (W1).

Somalia vs Mozambique Prediction

The Somalians come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Algeria the other day due to a brace from Mohamed Amoura as well as a goal from Riyad Mahrez, as they qualified for the tournament. Somalia have collected just one point from their nine qualifiers thus far.

They face a Mozambique side that could just about finish as runners’ up in Group G but they would need a ten-goal swing in the final game with Uganda facing Algeria. Mozambique were dealt a major blow the other day as they suffered a 2-1 loss to Guinea at Estadio do Zimpeto.

Mozambique simply have to win this by a distance to ensure they can stand any chance of reaching the playoffs and they are coming up against very poor opposition.

Somalia vs Mozambique Tip: Mozambique to win -1 handicap
