Key stats

  • The only previous U21 EURO finals match between these teams was a 1-1 draw on Matchday 2 of the 2021 edition.
  • Slovenia are without a win in their previous five U21 EURO final tournament matches (D2 L3).
  • Slovenia have failed to score in four of their previous five U21 EURO final tournament matches. The only team they have scored against at the finals is Czechia in the 1-1 draw in 2021.
  • Already eliminated, Czechia have now exited at the group stage in their last five U21 EURO participations.
  • Czechia have won only one of their last nine U21 EURO final tournament matches (D2 L6). That was a 2-1 victory against Germany on Matchday 2 at the 2023 finals.

Slovenia vs Czechia prediction

A brilliant showing between the sticks from Slovenia captain Turk shut out England in their second group match, keeping them in with a chance of reaching the knockout stage. They’ll need to beat bottom-placed Czechia and hope that Germany can beat England by a big enough margin to force the swing in goal difference required.

Czechia’s backline is a fragile one, having given up seven goals across two matches and if there was any team that Slovenia could break their duck against attacking wise, it would be Czechia. Therefore, the sensible move here is to back victory for Slovenia. Whether it will be enough for them to qualify though is a different matter entirely.

Slovenia vs Czechia tip: Slovenia to win
