Slovakia vs Romania prediction

After starting 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification with a 2-0 win over Germany, Slovakia were eventually knocked out of qualifying after being beaten 4-3 by Kosovo in Bratislava the other day, having been ahead twice in the first-half of that UEFA playoff semi-final.

Romania were also beaten in their UEFA playoff semi-final for this tournament, albeit in less dramatic and irritating fashion as they succumbed to a slender 1-0 defeat away from home against what is a strong Turkiye side.

Romania will be stubborn and difficult to play against, while the Slovakians may well still be reeling for this one so siding with the Romanians appears the way to go.

Slovakia vs Romania tip: Double chance – Romania to win or draw
