Slovakia vs Germany prediction

The first quarter-final of the Men’s Ice Hockey at Milano Cortina comes in the form of an all-European battle that could go right down to the wire between Slovakia and Germany. Whilst they were expected to win, it was hard not to be impressed with the manner of Germany’s victory, killing things off early on with three unanswered goals in the third period.

Slovakia won two of their three preliminary round games and whilst they never scored more than four times across a single fixture, they did register at least three goals in every match. Against Sweden, they gave up five goals, whilst Germany have conceded three across their most recent three. With that in mind, this contest should wind up being high-scoring and backing over 5.5 goals is a play worth making.

Slovakia vs Germany tip: Over 5.5 total goals
