It has been a miserable start to the season for Shrewsbury Town with Salop looking like they could struggle against the drop in League Two this season after relegation last year.

Shrewsbury vs Colchester prediction

Shrewsbury Town suffered relegation from League One and their clunky, cloggy squad doesn’t appear so suit the style of Michael Appleton. They began with a goalless draw against Bromley at home on the opening day before being hammered by Tranmere Rovers last week, before a comfortable loss to Grimsby Town in the cup.

They now face a Colchester United side that, under the management of former Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley, began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Tranmere with an underwhelming performance before another steady result in a 1-1draw against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park last weekend.

Colchester are difficult to beat and play against, and Shrewsbury are struggling for any sort of fluency and form, so Colchester avoiding defeat in Shropshire seems likely.

Shrewsbury vs Colchester tip: Double chance – Colchester to win or draw
