Shkendija managed to defeat both The New Saints and FCSB in qualification for the UEFA Champions League over the summer. The North Macedonians will expect to pull off some decent results at home in this league phase, beginning their league phase campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano in Madrid a couple of weeks ago.
They face a Shelbourne side that lost manager Damien Duff mid-way through the 2025 League of Ireland campaign, with him being replaced by Joey O’Brien. Shelbourne finished third in the league this time around but do head into this one on the back of five-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions.
Shelbourne held Hacken to a goalless draw in their opening game and managing to limit Shkendija to another low-scoring affair seems a very good bet for this one.
