Shelbourne vs Hacken prediction
Over the summer, Shelbourne, who had won the 2024 League of Ireland title, had to deal with the departure of Damien Duff, replaced by Joey O’Brien. They managed to overcome Linfield in he playoff round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
They now face a Hacken side that were knocked out by Heidenheim in the playoffs of this competition last season. They did reach the group stages of the UEFA Europa League in the 2023/24 season, though.
Hacken have a bit of European pedigree but have underwhelmed domestically and Shelbourne, with home advantage, will surely fancy their chances in Dublin this week.
