Sheffield Utd vs Cardiff Prediction

The first match to get underway of the famed third round of this season’s FA Cup is an all-Championship affair at Bramall Lane with promotion chasing Sheffield United taking on a struggling Cardiff City side.

Despite beginning the season with a two-point deduction, the Blades are still on course to hit around 100 points in the second-tier this season. They come through a wobble over the festive period by earning three hard-fought points at Vicarage Road against Watford last weekend thanks to goals from Gustavo Hamer and Andre Brooks.

Cardiff City took the decision to sack Emut Bulut in late-September and yet the Bluebirds only appointed their new boss, Omer Riza, last month. They also recently defeated Watford away from home in the Championship and have drawn two since then but that win at the Hornets is their only victory in Riza’s reign of seven matches so far.

The Blades have other priorities this season and they don’t have the deepest squad but they remain the firm favourites for this one, especially with their home advantage.

Sheffield Utd vs Cardiff Tip: Sheffield Utd to win
