Sheffield United vs Oxford United prediction

It remains to be seen if Chris Wilder will be able to call upon his big deadline day acquisitions of Kalvin Phillips and Leo Hjelde in this match. But either way, they enter this contest as firm favourites against an Oxford United side inside the relegation zone and now five points adrift of safety. When comparing the squads of these two clubs, the Blades are significantly stronger and should be far higher up the table than their current position of 16th-place.

Expect Wilder’s men to dominate long periods here and whilst Oxford will fight for every ball and won’t be easy to break down, the quality of the Sheffield United attacking midfield and forwards should eventually overwhelm the visiting backline. Therefore, it’s well worth backing victory for Sheffield United.
