Shanghai Port vs Beijing Guoan prediction

Having rejected Rangers, former Millwall midfielder Kevin Muscat opted to take the Shanghai Port job and just about see them through to the Chinese Super League title for the fourth time and their third successive title win.

Beijing Guoan went on the longest unbeaten run in the league last year with 16 games without a loss but they succumbed to a fourth place finish as they went on to win the FA Cup under the management of former Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery.

There is a major EFL influence in the dugout in these Chinese Super Cup but, regardless of whatever the managers can do, Shanghai Port remains the favourite for the first piece of Chinese footballing silverware in 2026.
