Both Serbia and Austria were left frustrated at UEFA EURO 2024 last summer and there is a fair argument that they were both left frustrated after their 1-1 draw in the first-leg of this tie, too.

Serbia vs Austria Prediction

Serbia have the personnel to threaten most teams in Europe but often underperform, whilst Austria perhaps don’t have the level of player of many but manage to play an intense and aggressive style of football under the management of Ralf Rangnick.

The Serbians, under the management of Dragan Stojkovic, were awful at a major tournament yet again last summer with their group stage exit from UEFA EURO 2024. They do possess some real quality, though, as shown by the emerging talent of Atalanta’s attacking midfielder Lazar Samardzic, who scored for Serbia in the first-leg of this tie the other day.

Austria put in some of the more thrilling performances at UEFA EURO 2024, topping a group that consisted of France, the Netherlands and Poland, but eventually losing by two goals to one to Turkey in a thrilling contest in Leipzig in the Round of 16. The Austrians play a typically energetic Rangnick-esque style of football.

That style away from home should work better with the opposition needing to take the initiative so, as a result, it could well be a good value bet to side with the Austrians in Belgrade this week.

Serbia vs Austria Tip: Double chance – Austria to win or draw
