How to watch on TV & online: UK – DAZN / US – DAZN

Seattle Sounders team news: Possible rotation

Both Kim Kee-hee and Joseph Ragen have been struggling with injuries in the groups so far and, now eliminated, could well be rested by the Sounders. Stuart Hawkins remains unavailable due to a hip injury.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Frei; Kossa-Rienzi, Sousa, Bell, Baker-Whiting; Cristian Roldan, Vargas; De la Vega, Rusnak, Rothrock; Musovski

Unavailable: Hawkins (Injured)

Questionable: Kim (Injured), Ragen (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain team news: Back to strengh

Luis Enrique rotated a fait bit in their defeat to Botafogo but the likes of Marquinhos Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz are expected to come back into the side. Ousmane Dembele remains sidelined for the Parisiens, though.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Doue, Ramos, Kvaratskhelia

Key stats

  • Seattle have lost their last four matches in all competitions.
  • Seattle have only failed to score in two of their last 13 competitive matches.
  • PSG’s defeat against Botafogo ended a six-match winning streak for the French club. They have not lost successive competitive matches since May 2024.
  • Seattle defender Nouhou Tolo was on the winning side against PSG defender Marquinhos when Cameroon defeated Brazil 1-0 in the group stage at the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Tolo played the full match and Marquinhos entered the action as a substitute early in the second half.
  • PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was on the winning side against Seattle’s Ryan Kent when Napoli won 3-0 at Rangers in the UEFA Champions League group stage in September 2022.

Seattle Sounders vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction

The Seattle Sounders qualified for the tournament as 2023 CONCACAF Champions League winners, but they have disappointed in their opening two matches. They followed up a 2-1 loss to Botafogo in their first game by being beaten by three goals to one by Atletico Madrid the other day.

European champions and treble winners Paris Saint-Germain perhaps took their foot off the gas the other day, with Luis Enrique at the helm. They began the tournament with a 4-0 demolition of Atletico Madrid at the Rose Bowl before then suffering a surprise 1-0 loss to Botafogo the other day.

PSG will have to get back to being as fully focused as they have been in the last six months or so, and that is very much expected to be the case with a comfortable win here.

Seattle Sounders vs Paris Saint-Germain tip: Paris Saint-Germain to win -1 handicap
