Scotland vs Wales prediction

Scotland’s preparation for the World Cup has been far from ideal with contract negotiations between the players and Scottish Rugby creating plenty of tension in the squad. Added to that is the fact that head coach Bryan Easson is set to leave his post following the conclusion of the tournament to take up a coaching role in England.

Easson has stated that his team will put all that to one side in this contest against fellow home nation Wales, in what is a repeat of their opener in the 2021 Women’s World Cup when Wales clinched an 18-15 victory with a late penalty.

The two Six Nations rivals have played out plenty of close matches since then, and with just one place separating them in the world rankings, this looks poised on a knife-edge.

This is set to be another close battle, but with Scotland’s turbulent build-up in mind, we’re edging Wales to sneak it.
