Saudi Arabia team news: Nothing fresh

USA team news: Keeping the formula

Much like the Saudi Arabians, the USMNT have a heavily rotated squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. However, Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to build some momentum after a poor opening few months at the start of his tenure.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Freese; Freeman, Richards, Ream, Arfsten; Berhalter, De La Torre; McGlynn, Tillman, Luna; Agyemang

Saudi Arabia vs USA prediction

With former boss Herve Renard now back in charge of Saudi Arabia, they recently missed out on automatic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup earlier this month. They began the group stages of the CONCACAF Gold Cup with a slender 1-0 defeat of Haiti the other day thanks to 21st minute penalty scored by Saleh Al Shehri.

The United States come into this one having struggled under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, but they got off to a brilliant start the other day, as they annihilated Trinidad and Tobago by five goals to nil in their opener thanks to a Malik Tillman brace as well as goals from Patrick Agyemang, Brenden Aaronson and Haji Wright.

The Americans are searching for consistency and the Saudi Arabians are likely to be obdurate opposition but a victory for the US, with home advantage, is to be expected.
