Sassuolo come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Como in the second round of the Coppa Italia at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia the other day. Sassuolo, following their promotion last season, under the management of Fabio Grosso, have managed one win with three defeats in their four matches thus far.
They now face an Udinese side that, coached by former Legia Warsaw boss Kosta Runjaic, started the season well, and that continued with a cup win against Palermo in midweek, but the Friulians did suffer a 3-0 hammering at the hands of AC Milan at the Bluenergy Stadium in the northeast of Italy last weekend.
Bar that defeat against what is appearing to be a strong Milan side, Udinese have been quite strong this season and they will have to remain favourites for this one against Sassuolo.
