Sassuolo vs Hellas Verona prediction

Following promotion back to Serie A last season, Sassuolo, under the management of Fabio Grosso, begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table. The home team most recently defeated Udinese by two goals to one, courtesy of a second-half turnaround from Armand Lauriente and Andrea Pinamonti.

Hellas Verona are sliding down into Serie B this season with a woeful campaign and they are nine points adrift of safety as they sit rock-bottom in Serie A. The visitors were beaten by Parma last weekend in a game in which Mateo Pellegrino scored a second-half stoppage-time winner for Parma.

Verona are a very poor side and they are now without suspended key man Gift Orban, and so Sassuolo should come out on top here, especially with their home advantage.
