They will therefore be content to have started their 2025 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores campaign with a win and a defeat. They most recently shared a 2-2 draw in the league with Nacional Potosi.
They now face a Velez Sarsfield side that, under the management of Guillermo Barros Schelotto, defeated Talleres de Cordoba by a goal to nil at the weekend at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. They have won both games in the group stages this season with victories over Penarol and Olimpia thus far.
