Red Bull Salzburg have been declining for a while as they return to UEFA Europa League action against Hungarian champions Ferencvaros at the Red Bull Arena in Austria.

Salzburg vs Ferencvaros prediction

After participating at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup over the summer, Red Bull Salzburg have already played 18 matches across all competitions this season since then. The Austrians have started their UEFA Europa League campaign with a couple of defeats, losing to both Porto and then Olympique Lyonnais.

They now face a Ferencvaros side that, under the management of Robbie Keane, most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Ujpest in Hungary to remain fourth in the top-flight. In this competition, though, they most recently defeated Genk in Belgium to back up a 1-1 draw with Viktoria Plzen.

Salzburg have had tough tests in this competition and they do have home advantage so should be more confident but Ferencvaros are playing well themselves so this should be quite fun for the neutral.
