Salzburg vs Club Brugge prediction

Over the summer, Red Bull Salzburg underwhelmed at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, as they went out in the group stages. They did manage to comfortably defeat Brann by five goals to two on aggregate in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League after they had gone a goal behind in the first-leg.

They now face a Club Brugge side that were unusually pipped to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League title last season. The Belgian giants have started their 2025/26 Belgian Jupiler Pro League campaign with a win and a defeat in their opening two matches, most recently suffering a 2-1 loss to Mechelen at the Achter de Kazerne at the weekend.

Club Brugge will believe they can hit Salzburg on the counter-attack quite well, and it should be quite an entertaining encounter for the neutral at the Red Bull Arena.

Salzburg vs Club Brugge tip: Over 2.5 goals
