Salford vs Tranmere prediction

Karl Robinson’s Salford City missed out on the top seven and the playoff places on the final day of last season and the Ammies will be expected to clinch that at least this year. Salford lost on the opening day and have come into this on a dip in form, but they have also shown a very high ceiling already this season.

They now face a Tranmere Rovers side that narrowly avoided the drop, and so the Birkenhead-based outfit are one of the likelier teams to struggle, but they have started steadily thus far. The visitors do come into this one on the back of their first defeat of the campaign as they lost 2-1 at home to Notts County last weekend.

Tranmere can make it very difficult for most teams in League Two, and that should be the case once again, but Salford are favourites with their home advantage.

Salford vs Tranmere tip: Salford to win
