THE PREDICTION

Wasps’ stunning few weeks in January came crashing back to Earth last Sunday as they lost heavily to Munster 45-7 on the road to crash out of the Champions Cup. They had previously become the first side this season in any competition to beat Leicester Tigers and they backed that up with a second-successive shock victory at home to Champions Cup reigning champions Toulouse. Two weeks ago you could have ear-marked them for another huge day at home here against travelling Saracens, who were stunned in their last Premiership match to a 24-25 defeat at home to Gloucester. Sarries kept their Challenge Cup hopes alive with a win over London Irish last Sunday and taking them to double-down with a suitably cautious outright win here seems wise.
