Roma preview: Impressive Romans
Gian Piero Gasperini has done a good job in charge of Roma, with the Giallorossi currently in contention for the top four in Serie A, while also readying themselves for the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League in March.
The Romans come into this weekend on the back of an emphatic 3-0 hammering of Cremonese at the Stadio Olimpico, courtesy of goals from Bryan Cristante, Evan Ndicka and Nicolo Pisilli.
Juventus preview: Need a performance
Juventus fought back well with ten men against Galatasaray in midweek but the Bianconeri eventually succumbed to a defeat after extra-time against the Turkish giants with Luciano Spalletti left bereft on the touchline.
The Old Lady are in woeful form at the moment with that exit at the hands of the Turks coming on the back of four successive defeats across all competitions, with now just the league and a top four finish to focus on.
Roma team news: Lots of doubts
The Giallorossi are dealing with lots of injury doubts for this one as Mario Hermoso is potentially sidelined alongside attackers such as Matias Soule, Paulo Dybala and Evan Ferguson.
Predicted XI (3-4-3): Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Ghilardi; Celik, Cristante, Kone, Wesley; Bryan Zaragoza, Malen, Pellegrini
Unavailable: Dovbyk (Injured)
Questionable: Mario Hermoso (Injured), Matias Soule (Injured), El Shaarawy (Injured), Dybala (Injured), Ferguson (Injured)
Juventus team news: Locatelli suspended
Key man and captain Manuel Locatelli is missing through suspension for this one, while both Emil Holm and Dusan Vlahovic are injury absentees for the Bianconeri.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Gatti, Kelly, Koopmeiners; McKennie, Miretti, Thuram, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Yildiz; Openda
Unavailable: Holm (Injured), Locatelli (Suspended), Vlahovic (Injured)
Questionable: Milik (Injured)
Roma vs Juventus prediction
Spalletti has done an excellent job with pretty much everyone he has coached, and he has been generally impressive in Turin, too, but there is now pressure on him as he travels to face a former club. Roma aren't the most convincing and they are not at the fluent best of Gasperini football but they have to remain favourites here in what is still expected to be a low-scoring encounter at the Olimpico on Sunday night.
Roma vs Juventus tip: Double chance - Roma to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
