Rijeka vs Shelbourne prediction

The repechage system in UEFA competition qualification means that the loser of this will be in the playoffs of the UEFA Europa Conference League, with the winner assured of qualifying for the league phase of European competition this season.

Croatian champions Rijeka suffered a 3-1 loss to Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad in the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie last week, whilst Shelbourne suffered a comfortable defeat to Azeri winners Qarabag, after they had beaten Linfield in the first qualifying round with Joey O’Brien in interim charge after the sudden departure of Damien Duff in late-June.

Rijeka weren’t great against Ludogorets and Croatian clubs haven’t been great in Europe for quite some time, but the Croats remain the overwhelming favourites for this one with home advantage.

Rijeka vs Shelbourne tip: Rijeka to win -2 handicap
