Riga vs Beitar Jerusalem prediction
Riga come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Tukums in the Latvian Higher League to remain at the top-of-the-table domestically. In the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, they managed to defeat Georgian side Dila Gori by five goals to four on aggregate after an entertaining thriller.
They now face a Beitar Jerusalem side that produced a thrilling victory over Montenegrin opposition Sutjeska Niksic on neutral territory last week. In the first-leg of that second qualifying round tie, Beitar won by two goals to one in Niksic, before then hammering them by five goals to two in their nominal home second-leg.
Riga will believe they can emulate RFS by reaching the league phase of this competition, but Beitar would have to be viewed as favourites for this one this week.
