Republic of Ireland vs Canada prediction

Republic of Ireland are averaging two goals scored per game across the competition as it stands and will most likely need to maintain that level if they are to get the better of Canada, who finished second-place in Group K following a four-way tie on points. The Canadians successfully shut out France in one of their group stage fixtures, a notable result as it underlined how good a defensive team they can be.

If Canada can replicate those levels within their backline, then Republic of Ireland face a stern challenge here and could find themselves in big trouble. There is potentially value to be had in the double chance market as a result and backing either draw or win for Canada via that route warrants serious consideration.

Republic of Ireland vs Canada tip: Double chance - draw/Canada
