Rennes vs Lorient prediction

Habib Beye and his Rennes side begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top six in Ligue 1. The home team most recently had to snatch a draw against Le Havre last weekend, courtesy of a late Breel Embolo equaliser, meaning that they have suffered just one defeat in their last 11 matches across all competitions.

Lorient, following their promotion to the top-flight last season, have been brilliant to watch themselves and, after a slow start, are beginning to motor up the Ligue 1 table. Their standout performance came at Stade Louis II last weekend as they defeated Monaco by three goals to one down in the principality.

Lorient will take immense confidence from that and will believe they can be very effective on the counter-attack against a fun and entertaining Rennes side so both teams scoring seems a good bet for this one.
