Habib Beye and his Rennes side begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top six in Ligue 1. Lorient, following their promotion to the top-flight last season, have been brilliant to watch themselves and, after a slow start, are beginning to motor up the Ligue 1 table. Their standout performance came at Stade Louis II last weekend as they defeated Monaco by three goals to one down in the principality.
