REAL MALLORCA PREVIEW: PUSHING FOR EUROPE

Javier Aguirre departed Real Mallorca for the Mexican national team over the summer and he was replaced by Jago Arrasate as they try to mould a more proactive side that can qualify for a top seven finish and a UEFA Europa Conference League spot.

The Balearic Islanders were left frustrated on the mainland last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Deportivo Alaves in the Basque Country who had endured a five-match losing streak before that game.

ATLETICO MADRID PREVIEW: UNSURE ON REALITY

The pressure remains on Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone after a heavy summer of spending. Los Rojiblancos have underperformed and underwhelmed in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League but come into this on a couple of good results.

Last weekend, Atletico defeated Las Palmas by two goals to nil at the Metropolitano last weekend with an impressive performance before being battered by Paris Saint-Germain but somehow coming away with a 2-1 win thanks to a last-gasp Angel Correa winner.

REAL MALLORCA VS ATLETICO MADRID PREDICTION

Real Mallorca have had nine days to recooperate from their frustrating loss to Alaves. They remain in the hunt for a top seven spot and will want to send themselves off into the November international break with what would be a famous win. Atletico have struggled on the road this season in La Liga and lost their last away game in the league to Betis. It would represent a good value bet to side with the hosts here, albeit likely to be a low-scoring low margin affair.
