Real Madrid vs Roma prediction

Quarter-finalists last season, where they lost 2-3 on aggregate to eventual champions Arsenal after winning the first leg 2-0, Real Madrid entered at the third qualifying round and saw off Frankfurt 5-1 on aggregate to make it into the inaugural league phase.

The Spanish side were second to Barcelona in Liga F last season, and are now contesting their fifth successive European campaign.

Roma came third in Serie A Femminile last season and reached the league phase by overcoming Aktobe, Sparta Praha and Sporting CP in qualifying, producing a dramatic second-leg comeback in the latter.

The Italian side were somewhat unfortunate not to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women's Champions League last season, missing out on account of their head-to-head record with Wolfsburg in the group stage.

This won't be a walkover for the hosts but they have impressed defensively this season. They have kept clean sheets in their last four games across all competitions and are unbeaten in six. Roma may struggle breach the Madrid defence so a win to nil could be on the cards.

Real Madrid vs Roma tip: Real Macdrid to win to nil
